Curriculum
Our students are at an important age of transition. Personally, socially, physically and intellectually they are at a stage characterised by the search for relevance and meaning. Social and cultural experiences in and outside school therefore have a determining impact on students’ perception of themselves, their self-esteem, their sense of identity and their capacity to relate to others. This is why the MYP focuses on helping adolescents develop the knowledge, attitudes and skills they need to participate actively and responsibly in a changing and increasingly interrelated world.

The curriculum covers all the major disciplines including languages, humanities, sciences, mathematics, arts, technology and physical education. These core subjects are taught within a flexible framework, the major strength of which is that it approaches topics from a variety of perspectives. These perspectives are known as ‘areas of interaction’ and they encourage students to make connections between subjects, linking what they learn to the real world and global issues.
