 Uptown High is an IB World School, authorised to deliver the IB MYP and IB Diploma.
The final forming of a person’s character lies in their own hands. It is our responsibility to make sure our children have at their disposal the right tools to fashion themselves into the kind of young adults of which they can be proud.
Much of our personal development occurs as adolescents when we are busy making sense of our world and our place in it, which means that schools need to offer students proper support and understanding at this critical stage.
Different schools have different visions. At Uptown High, we uphold the ideals of the International Baccalaureate’s Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), which is specifically designed to cater for the unique needs of adolescents. Uptown High School is an IB World School. Furthermore, we are delighted to offer your children all the benefits that go hand in hand with having selected sporting facilities geared to enhancing students’ overall talents. We also have a Visual Arts Department designed to inspire original creativity, and our hugely successful Music Programme feeds students into our ensemble and orchestra. The Design and Technology and Computer Technology courses are hugely popular with our students, as they challenge them to create a solution to a problem following the "Design Process". In our well resourced Science Laboratories our students are encouraged to investigate, experiment and to challenge their level of understanding of the world around them.
